Here are some out-of-state options for substance abuse treatment as well as other resources that could be used for voluntary placement.  Joe White – the transporter will take people to these facilities on a voluntary basis if the client has no other possible transportation.  Joe can be contacted through the non-emergency 911 number (752-7662) or at his home (752-2625).  If the client is under 18 and is voluntarily placed, their legal guardian has to ‘sign them in’ at the facility.
